Ms. Clare is an experienced primary school teacher with +8 years experience teaching across the entire school curricula for both United Kingdom and Australian school systems.
She is highly popular with our families for her ability to have a deep understanding of children and their school environment paying careful attention to detail. Clare’s high level of professionalism in teaching young learners is unrivalled compared with most private tutoring centres in Hong Kong.
Ms. Clare most recently has spent five years in kindergarten and primary schools across London, UK, teaching both native English children and second language learners.
Clare also supports PFL’s curriculum development for our kindergarten and primary learners in literacy, numeracy skills and phonics for reading.
Elizabeth brings nearly two decades of teaching experience to students aged 3 to 18.
Her knowledge of the latest pedagogical techniques in dealing with students’ varying learning styles means she excels in choosing from a repertoire of effective teaching techniques depending on her students’ needs. Elizabeth’s post-graduate qualifications in English and Drama means she is expertly equipped to bring not only written, but spoken texts alive.
For the past five years, Elizabeth has followed her passion for Montessori methods working with the youngest of students and brings a wealth of early childhood developmental experience and understanding to the team.
Louise leads group classes and tutors students of all ages and abilities from very young ones to senior level executives. In 2006, Louise started her teaching career with The British Council (Mexico), designing lively and topical curriculum for university level students who wished to hone their language skills for improved job prospects.
In Hong Kong, Louise continues to coach students towards the secondary school IB and IGCSE English Language and Literature examination. She supports students of all abilities, pushing students from A to A* while struggling students have improved their predicted marks by two grades on average.
Louise is particularly knowledgeable on engaging the struggling learner who has difficulty grasping literary concepts and motivating them to enjoy the written word.
Since gaining a double major in biomedical engineering and English from the University of North Carolina in 2010, Caleb has spent five years developing his skills towards exam preparation specialising for US admissions.
Caleb coaches students to hone exam skills for SATS, GRE’s and ACT; SAT Student grades have improved on average by 200 points in each section (400 overall), GRE grades go up by 10 -15 points in each section and ACT Students increase their marks by 8 points.
With over a decade of teaching experience, highly graded degrees from Oxford & Hong Kong University, and a professional academic career making a difference in the field of Cancer research, Dr Lee is a valuable member of our consultancy team.
Dr. Lee’s Oxford tutorial style of teaches raises her students aspirations towards renowned institutions while developing an independent and inquisitive approach to learning. Such qualities have secured Dr. Lee’s students with prestigious scholarships to courses including Medicine at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Dr. Lee specialises in stretching high flyers to achieve success using her experience delivering programmes for gifted learners at schools including Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Her tutees excel across iGCSE, IB, A Level and HKDSE exams.

Ms Siân’s infectious enthusiasm for Language and Literature makes for highly engaging English lessons. Her own stellar academic performance means she knows just what it takes to make the grade.
After achieving A grades in her final year of school, Siân went on to graduate with a first class degree in English Literature and Linguistics from the University of York, UK. Since then, she has been sharing her passion for the subjects with learners working towards IGCSE, HKDSE, IB, A Level and IELTS from a range of renowned local and international schools including DGS, St. Paul’s, Harrow, Kellett and Island. Her own skill in producing high quality writing means her students take away the ability to express their ideas clearly and concisely as is essential for not only examinations, but their further career. Siân also utilizes her training in Phonetics and Language Acquisition from a top Russell Group Linguistics department to support students for which English is a second language.
Siân’s strong belief in nurturing individuals means she takes a caring approach to mentoring her tutees. Alongside academic improvement, Siân’s patience and willingness to get to know her students develops their confidence and self-assurance too.
With his professional psychological background and 7+ years teaching experience, Mr Nathan unites clinical wisdom with classroom expertise to support and inspire students no matter what challenges they face.
Since graduating from Monash University with a high distinction in his Masters of Neuropsychology, Mr Nathan has gained an impressive track record in transforming exam scores with students improving 3 grades on average in A Level, IB, HKDSE and IGCSE. At the same time, Mr Nathan’s sincere and caring approach ensures a comfortable learning environment where students can flourish as independent learners.
Mr Nathan is particularly gifted in supporting students with learning difficulties and makes sure no student gets left behind using his psychological expertise. Furthermore, his thorough knowledge of a range of exam syllabi means he is well equipped to support students making difficult transitions between countries, schools or curricula. Whether it’s Chemistry, Biology, Maths or Psychology, Mr Nathan takes pride in guiding young people through the learning journey to reach their true potential.
Rebecca is a popular science and maths tutor at Passion for Language. She has a masters degree in Chemistry from the University of Bristol and has been teaching in Hong Kong for three years with extensive experience teaching a wide range of ages, abilities and subjects. She has a successful track record of significantly improving grades in Chemistry up to IB level, Maths up to GCSE level as well as Science, Maths and English for primary children.

Ms. Zarah’s highly personable character and academic expertise make her a popular choice amongst our secondary Science and Maths students. With her 3+ years teaching experience at top UK and Hong Kong international schools, Zara knows how to get the best out of her tutees and make tuition a rewarding experience.
During studies towards her PhD at Hong Kong University, Zara also worked towards being feature in a number of key publications. Her advanced level of study brings academic rigour to her lessons that not only inspires students to reach for top universities, but fosters diligence and independence that serves her tutees well as they work towards exams. She has a wealth of experience helping students prepare for GCSE and A Level, as well as Common Entrance exams.
Ms. Zarah’s strong familiarity with the UK education system, from secondary up to her own first class physics degree from King’s College, London, means that she is well placed to tutor those with their sights set abroad or towards international schools in Hong Kong.
